Is It Safe to Buy Followers, Likes & Views?
A straight answer, not a sales pitch: what the platforms' own rules say, what actually happens in practice, and how we limit the risk on our end.
What Instagram and TikTok's own rules say
We're not going to summarize this in a way that's convenient for us. Here are the actual policies, so you can read them yourself.
- Instagram Instagram Terms of Use — prohibits buying, selling, or otherwise transacting in accounts, usernames, or any account activity, and prohibits using the service in ways not permitted by its rules.
- Instagram Instagram Community Guidelines — covers spam and inauthentic behavior, which Instagram defines broadly enough to include purchased engagement.
- TikTok TikTok Terms of Service — prohibits using automated means or third-party services to artificially inflate views, followers, likes, shares or comments.
- TikTok TikTok Community Guidelines — bans spam and platform manipulation, including coordinated inauthentic engagement.
In plain terms: both platforms say no to this, full stop. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something. We're selling you something too — we'd just rather you know the real rules going in.
What actually happens in practice
Policy and enforcement aren't the same thing. Here's what we can honestly say based on how these platforms behave in general, not promises about your specific account.
- Both platforms run periodic purges of fake and inactive accounts, which can quietly lower any follower or like count, bought or organic.
- Enforcement tends to focus on accounts with multiple red flags — instant unnatural spikes, obviously bot-only followers, or a history of reports — rather than a single moderate order.
- A profile that's almost entirely bought followers with near-zero engagement can still look off to a sharp-eyed visitor, even if the platform itself doesn't flag it.
Not an accepted risk
- We don't claim this is risk-free, undetectable, or guaranteed to pass as 100% organic — it isn't, and anyone who says it is isn't being straight with you.
- We can't control platform enforcement decisions, and we don't offer compensation for an account-level action taken by Instagram or TikTok — see our Refund Policy for exactly what is and isn't covered.
How we limit the risk on our end
- No password, ever. Followers need only your public username; likes and views need only a public post or video link.
- Gradual delivery by default, spread over time rather than dumped on your account in one instant batch.
- Lifetime refill if a delivered count drops later, with no time limit on the claim — see Refund Policy for the exact terms.
If you want the lowest-risk option available, start with views or likes on one post rather than a large follower order — it's a smaller, lower-visibility change. Curious what any of this costs? See our pricing guide.
Safety — FAQ
Will buying followers get my account banned?
Both Instagram and TikTok prohibit buying engagement in their terms, and in theory any violation can lead to enforcement action. In practice, enforcement is inconsistent and mostly targets accounts with other red flags, like bot-only followers delivered instantly or a sudden spike that doesn't match any real activity. We can't promise a risk-free outcome, and no legitimate provider can.
Do I need to give Followium my password?
No. Followers only need your public username. Likes and views only need a link to the public post or video. We never ask for your password.
Can bought followers or likes be removed later?
Yes, platforms periodically purge fake and inactive accounts, which can lower any following or engagement count, bought or organic. That's exactly what our refill guarantee covers.
Will it look fake to people who visit my profile?
We deliver gradually rather than all at once, which looks more natural than an instant spike, but we don't claim it's indistinguishable from organic growth. A profile with a high follower count and very little engagement can still look off to an attentive visitor.
Is buying views safer than buying followers?
It's generally lower-visibility since views aren't shown as a public list the way followers are, but it's still covered by the same platform rules against purchased engagement.
